There are around 200 kilometers of well-maintained and well-signposted hiking trails in the Füssen area alone.
From the Forggensee over the Hopfensee to the Alatsee, which is the scene of an Allgäu crime novel with the detective Kluftinger.
The return route of the Alatsee circuit runs through the Faulenbach Valley, an idyllic landscape conservation area, which is the "Valley of the Senses" in the front part. Whether in the dark room, in the sound and herb garden, on the wet Kneipp meadow or on the balancing and barefoot path - here you can perceive nature sensually.

Cross-country skiing de luxe: The ADAC recommends Füssen and the surrounding area as a top region with 300 kilometers of well-groomed trails of all levels of difficulty. Classic or skating style, you can also glide into the neighboring villages. Many locals' favorite cross-country ski trail is the snow-covered floodlit trail on the Tegelberg below Neuschwanstein Castle, just 5 km from Füssen.
Ski jumping: Bad Faulenbach has 2 year-round ski jumps. Tyrolean and South German junior jumpers train here as part of a cross-border project.
Alpine skiing: With the interconnected network of the 3 Allgäu mountain railroads (Tegelberg, Buchenberg, Breitenberg) as well as the Reuttener and Tannheimer mountain railroads you can ski the ski area with only 1 lift ticket....
